ANCIENT + BRAVE LAUNCHES THE UK’S FIRST VEGAN COLLAGEN POWDERS
Ancient + Brave has created the entirely vegan Collagyn Collection made up of three new powders
The Collagyn Collection is the first UK supplement to provide five collagen specific aminos from vegan and fermented sources alongside vitamin C and essential vegan nutrients that can be hard to obtain from a plant-based diet.
Each of the new products includes a blend of plant proteins that are enhanced with collagen-specific amino acids and botanical extracts to help support normal collagen formation.
NAKED COLLAGYN for the body is formulated with glucosamine sulphate for physical wellbeing with a blend of MCT, MSM, choline and vitamins D and C to support energy metabolism, body conditioning and immune function.
INSPIRED COLLAGYN is created using Ayurvedic spices, adaptogenic ashwagandha, vitamin C and nootropic natural iodine to help with mindful wellbeing. It’s said to benefit your cognitive balance, stress resilience and immune function.
RADIANCE COLLAGYN for beauty is made with rosehip, berries and beetroot as well as iodine and vitamins D and C to help support normal collagen formation, skin function and help protect cells from oxidative stress.
Speaking about the launch, food scientist and nutritionist Susie Debice said: “Collagen is built from 18-20 amino acids with over 30% being formed from just three key amino acids (glycine, proline and hydroxyproline). Up until now, most collagen-building supplements offer just vitamin C as the active ingredient or provide insufficient amounts of the three key aminos from non-vegan or synthesised sources.”
Kate Prince, co-founder of Ancient + Brave, added: “Whether our customers are vegan or not, we understand and believe in both lifestyles – we celebrate choice, we don’t judge. There’s no stigma. We believe in living brave and living to your truest potential, however you choose to do it.”
The COLLAGYN Collection is available from Net-A-Porter and Planet Organic.
