Banana and chocolate chip ice cream
Serves: 6
Ready in: 30 to 60 mins
Whenever my parents come to stay they always bring a lot of food with them and there is always some left over when they leave. This time it was a lot bananas and creme fraiche that were left over. I came up with recipe so that it didn't go to waste. It is a wonderful quick and easy ice cream to make and tastes delicous!
Ingredients:
3 ripe bananas600ml creme fraiche
150g caster sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
50g chocolate chips
method:
- Mash the bananas with a fork
- Add the sugar and cinnamon to the bananas and mix well
- Stir in the creme fraiche
- Put the mixture in an ice cream machine for 50-60 minutes, 10 minutes before the end add the chocolate chips. If you don't have an ice cream machine mix the chocolate chips in with the creme fraiche and put in a container in the freezer, stir it every 15 minutes for one hour to stop ice crystals from forming.
