Make him smile with these cheap and cheerful cheeky chaps.

Ingredients:
150g plain flour100g wholemeal flour
50g sugar, plus extra to sprinkle
50g ground almonds
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
50g Gold Top slightly salted butter, diced
1 tsp vanilla essence
200ml milk, plus extra for brushing
method:
- Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Sift the plain flour and the wholemeal flour into a large food processor bowl. Add the sugar, ground almonds, baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt and the diced butter. Pulse until it resembles bread crumbs. Alternatively, rub the ingredients together by hand.
- Mix 1 tsp vanilla essence with 200ml milk and add gradually, pulsing the food processor until a soft dough is formed (you may not need all the milk). Alternatively, work the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients by hand, bringing together into a dough.
- Turn onto a lightly floured board, knead for 30 seconds, roll out to 3mm thickness and cut into 12 gingerbread men. Brush with milk, sprinkle with sugar and bake 10-12 minutes until golden. Cool, decorate and box up for Dad!
