Spicy Chilli-cinnamon Sweet Potatoes

These spicy roasted sweet potatoes are a great addition to any Christmas table.

Spicy Chilli-cinnamon Sweet Potatoes Recipe: Veggie

Ingredients:

3 large sweet potatoes
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 Fragata Piri Piri Hot Peppers, finely chopped
salt, to taste

method:

  • Preheat oven to 230C/450F/Gas 8.
  • Wash and scrub the potatoes. Then cut into chunks, roughly about an inch in size
  • Put the potatoes, olive oil, cinnamon and Fragata Piri Piri Hot Peppers into a large food bag. Seal and shake to evenly distribute the spices.
  • Pour the contents of the bag onto a baking sheet and spread evenly.
  • Salt to taste, and cook for 15 minutes. Turn the potatoes, then return them to the oven for a further 15-20 minutes. (If you like your potatoes crispier, leave them in the oven for longer, just take care not to burn them.)
